Her most well-known work is her role as Ashley Banks on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. She began singing when she was four. Her mother was encouraging her to invite her to audition for Sesame Street. She started her career as regular performers in 1985 at the age of 6 older on Sesame Street, a PBS children's programming. She continued to pursue her acting career throughout New York City with many productions, including Fences which is a Broadway production, and Orfeo del Campo which was an off-Broadway production. The show won Star Search twice when she was just seven years old. Her second appearance earned her four stars.
